The Department of Production of Construction Products and Structures was established in 1963. Its organizer and first leader was Honored Worker of Higher Education of Ukraine, Ph.D., Professor OE Lopatto (from 1963 to 1974)
For more than half a century, 36 dissertations have been prepared and defended, 16 monographs, three textbooks, and more than 860 articles on topical issues of building materials science have been published.
The achievements of the department are related to the involvement of students in research work. The results of scientific research are reflected in the completed diploma and master's theses, the results of the defense of which the most talented students are recommended for graduate school.
The department has a certified research laboratory for testing building materials and products.
