Students are active participants in the learning process. Basic enterprises of the construction industry and construction materials provide great assistance in improving the educational process and performing research work. A research circle has been created at the department, where students perform research works that take part in the all-Ukrainian competition of student research works.

Teachers of the department manage the preparation of diploma and bachelor's theses of students, which is an important component of professional training of future specialists. During the whole activity of the department more than 700 diploma and 250 master's theses were defended. Many of them outgrow as research, are celebrated in competitions, continue in dissertations. Student research is published in a collection of scientific papers and is the first step on the difficult path of scientific work.

Employees of the department work with optimism and hope in the most important part of the educational process - the training of competitive construction professionals, which lays a solid foundation for further development of the country.
